What’s New at Redscope

We launched our annual summer challenge with a focus on being healthy and active.
10 activities - Bronze Medal
30 activities - Silver Medal
All activities - Gold Medal

Don't forget you can adapt the activities and change them. You need to add your own onto the blank squares. You can repeat activities too.

If you have lost your letter don't worry. Find a copy on our parents, newsletters page that you can print off.

Be active and have fun this summer!
Congratulations to Leo Hizam who won the 100% attendance prize. He had a lovely time at Toys R Us spending his vouchers. He took Tegan with him and they had a feast for lunch!
Remember to come to school every day and you could be a winner next time.
Ofsted visited our school recently and have sent their report. They have judged the school to be a good one in all areas. We are really pleased that they spotted lots of positives. We are passionate about the education of your children and it is great that this is recognised by Ofsted.
If you would like to read a copy of the report then click on the 'Ofsted report' title above.

If you would like to register your views on parent view it is available all the time on our website. Look on the parent pages or the 'parent view' quick link.
Thank you for your continued support. It is a pleasure to educate your children.

I am very pleased to introduce you to Redscope Primary School and Park View Children’s Centre.

We are extremely proud of our school, and your children are our greatest asset. We have “a very smiley school” and the school team always try to provide a caring family atmosphere where children feel happy and settled, and where everyone feels valued.

One of our Year 6 leavers commented, “At Redscope you always make good friends and the teachers are really friendly so you learn lots.”
Every effort is made to make school life interesting and exciting in the hope that pupils will respond by working hard and enthusiastically. Our curriculum covers many different areas but we firmly believe in the value of the basic subjects of reading, writing and mathematics. The classes are managed to ensure the progress of all pupils taking into account differing abilities and strengths and achievement is continually monitored.

I know that your child is special to you. I value all the children and the contribution they make to the school.

The staff and I look forward to working in partnership with you, to ensure your child grows in confidence, develops a positive attitude to learning, and embraces the school motto :-
“To be the best that we can be.”

Please see the links to our school's ethos and how we promote British values.

If you have any queries, concerns or ideas whilst your child attends our school please do not hesitate to contact myself or your child’s teacher.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs P Dobbin

28 Years of Service

It was also a special day for Bronwen Watson who retired after 28 years of dedicated service to our school. She worked tirelessly as first a governor and then the Chair of governors for our children.

As a thank you, the children presented her with a rose for the garden and a hand painted vase and plate. They also watched a clip of her receiving her MBE which she also brought in to show them. She will be missed very much and we wish her well in her retirement. She deserves a rest after such long and relentless effort working to improve the lives of our children.

She will be joining FORUM as a volunteer member so will still be very much part of the Redscope family.

Summer Enterprise Fair

The children had a wonderful time making money at the summer enterprise fair.
